Reduce bills and slash CO2
All about FAR infrared heating
Why heat the whole environment unless you have to? It’s a question that has become ever-more important since the energy price crisis started to bite, eating holes in business’ profit margins.
Most of us are consciously making savings, and all of us are becoming a lot more aware of the way we use energy. But how many of us know about FAR infrared heating?
Far Infrared heating can be as much as 70% cheaper to run than most electric heating systems – and it’s an impressive 40-50% cheaper than gas and oil. Let’s take a look.
About FAR infrared heating - An energy saving alternative to gas and oil
You want to save money on gas or oil heating. You want to achieve a lovely, comfortable indoor temperature. You want to reduce your CO2 emissions. FAR does it all, whether you’re fitting it on an industrial scale or in a small space.
The benefits of FAR infrared heaters in bullets
- As natural as the sun – and it feels just like sunshine
- Free from ALL emissions including CO2
- When you use green energy to run the system it is genuinely 100% CO2 free
- Certified as 'low electrosmog' by TÜV, an international independent service company that tests, inspects and certifies technical systems to GS standards as well as CE standards, meeting every safety standard for UK use
- No pipes or radiators – the heaters either fix to a wall or ceiling for connection to the mains or can be simply fitted with a plug that goes into an ordinary socket
- Heats people and surfaces, not the air
- Reduced dust and fewer pollutants - great for people who suffer from asthma or allergies
- Reduces damp and mould because it heats the fabric of the building, not the air
- The entire room or space reaches the same comfortable temperature
- Up to 70% cheaper to run than most electric heating systems
- 40-50% cheaper than gas and oil
- Keeps the environment cosy 24/7
How does FAR infrared heating work?
Traditional radiators heat spaces with convection heat, while FAR infrared heats people and objects. The heaters convert electricity into radiant heat, which then transfers to people and surfaces without heating the air in between.
Because all the surfaces are heated - the walls, floors and ceilings – a good amount of thermal mass is built up. This keeps the room warm even when you open a window or door, making it particularly handy in places where people are always coming in and out, for example offices and shops.
Infrared heating is instant. It starts getting up to temperature straight away and reaches the temperature you want within a few minutes. Programmable and WiFi-controlled heaters are even more energy efficient because you can fine-tune the settings so well.
