Some suppliers sell and run. We sell and stick around, giving you the ongoing support you need to comply with maintenance recommendations and stay cool. Here’s how we’ll help you, with professional servicing of the evaporative cooling systems we provide and fit.
Service your evaporative coolers at least once a year
Manufacturers recommend servicing an evaporative cooling system at least once a year. If it’s out in the open air, twice a year is a sensible frequency. At Cool Technology we provide handy full maintenance and servicing agreements for every brand of evaporative cooler.
We’re highly experienced in accessing coolers wherever they happen to be, thanks to our own 17m boom lift, 7.5m scissor lift, and ladders, and our engineers are properly qualified to operate the equipment.
Cleanliness matters so we clean the units thoroughly every time, using a pressure washer and/or vacuum cleaner depending on the situation. We’ll also clean any fly screens, or replace them with clean screens. All we use is elbow grease - no chemical cleaning products.
We check the configuration, parameters and dip switches on every unit to make sure the coolers are running at optimum efficiency according to the conditions, and we check every moving part including pumps, valves, solenoids and more, replacing them if necessary. We can put our hands on most spare parts immediately, at the manufacturers recommended retail price.
We’ll also make recommendations around how to improve the system and warn you if any future repairs or replacements are likely. If your unit is outdoors we’ll turn off the water supply in winter, when you don’t need to be cooled, to prevent pipes and valves freezing. We’ll isolate and drain the water supply where possible, and in spring we’ll reconnect it for you.
A Bond Strap might come in handy. If so we can fit one for you, protecting the unit against extreme weather and keeping unauthorised people away. At the end, before we leave, we’ll give you a detailed written report about any servicing, maintenance and parts replacement, including our observations and recommendations.
Legionella Risk Assessment is a big deal, and we include that too. As long as there are no worries about your system we’ll issue a Legionella Risk Assessment after each visit, valid for a year and meeting your Health and Safety Commission (HSC) Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) Legionnaires Disease: The control of legionella bacteria in water systems L8 obligations.
Evaporative cooling system support whenever you need it
We’ll provide mobile contact numbers in case you need emergency help or instant advice, and if we can fix things over the phone we won’t charge extra. Your annual agreement lays out the costs of in-person emergency support.
Our 24 Hour Response Agreement is perfect when your coolers are business-critical, for example in a server room. Emergency fault finding and repairing is never a problem, and we’ll always quote you beforehand so you know what to expect.
